Co-host “All About That Bass” with Louise Largiadèr, WTJU Rock Marathon

So delighted that my good friend Louise Largiadèr has invited me to wear a dj hat with her at my fave local station, WTJU 91.1FM, for their Rock Marathon.  As mutual lovers of the mighty low end, Louise and I will spend two hours exploring the beautiful and oft-overlooked world of the great practitioners of the four string wonder that is the bass (upright and electric).  We will span decades and genres to celebrate the greats – from the studio cats who have continually entered your eardrums far more times than you realize –  to the jaw dropping slappin’ and poppin’ soloists – to the pioneers and innovators on the axe who have influenced countless others and redefined the instrument.

Warning:  If you love the bass as much as Louise and me – prepare to be disappointed, and prepare to be angry, for we will no doubt omit some of your faves.  In two hours, we’ll only be able to scratch the surface, but we’ll do our darnedest.  For instance, Danny Bonaduce will not make the cut.  Call in only pledges, no complaints, but tune in!  AND pledge!  Thank you!
