FRIENDS OF JASON – A Benefit

This event promises to be Off-The-Hook Boffo!
Coming to the aid of Charlottesville’s nicest guy & best friend to the music scene, Jason Burke (more on him later), some of the town’s top drawer performers will loan their talents to a night of Magnificent Music, Mirth & Merriment…. & hopefully lotsa Money… These musicians include (so far):
Terri Allard, Michael Clem, Michael Coleman, Paulo Franco, Gary Green, Thomas Gunn, Matty Metcalfe, Paul Rosner, Rusty Speidel, Butch Taylor, Peyton Tochterman, David Tewksbury & Turtle Zwadlo
This event will take place in lieu of the normal Cville Songwriter Night and will happen upstairs at The Local Restaurant in the heart of Belmont in Charlottesville.
AS FOR JASON… ‘Whuh happened?’ you may be asking. JB was recently hospitlized for 10 days due to heart problems. While having insurance, he was still met with a pile of bills and fees that have left him financially devasted. He still has another procedure in June, and there is simply no compensation for the income lost for his time away.
That’s where WE come in. Anyone who knows Jason, knows how selflessly he’s given to others in Charlottesville with musical promotion in particular. As a fundraising event, we are asking for a financial contribution at the door. Checks and credit card pymts accepted. Why not start at 20 (in celebration of Ms. Tubman) and go up from there. The value of players on the bill make a Harriet Note a steal!
